Just a quick post because I'm crazy busy writing the never-ending SHADOWFEVER....but I wanted to let you know about some of the confirmed guests for FeverCon 2010, Oct. 1- Oct. 3.
Two of my favorite authors and friends Gena Showalter and Kresley Cole are coming to hang out and have fun, sign books and do a workshop or two! Audio book narrator extraordinaire, Phil Gigante will be there and so will my divine inspiration for JZB—actor, Eric Etebari--and they've both agreed to rock out with the BloodRush band!
Me and the kittens again—looking for a loving home. The kittens, not me, LOL.
So the kitten situation is a little different. Originally we had three Toms that we were keeping safe from the storm, but we made the mistake of letting them out and the big Tom took one of them off and returned several days later with a little girl, then disappeared again.
We arranged a home for the brother and sister, but after I got them all their shots and certificates, had them spayed and neutered, the woman who was going to take them was diagnosed with a severe illness and cannot give them a home. They’ve been kenneled at a vet north of Atlanta for the past two months and are dying to get out and play—as you can see by the video!
I’m hoping someone has a Daisy & Jellico sized-hole in their heart. These guys are adorable! The vet says Daisy looks like the runt of the litter and will always be tiny and delicate. Jellico has a tail the size of a fox. They adore each other, and Jellico is always watching out for his little sister. The vet believes they are 5-6 months old. They are in excellent health, have all their shots, are house-trained and have delightful personalities.
Because of Moonshadow and her health issues, we simply can’t keep them. Can anyone offer these kittens a home? If so, email Karen@karenmoning.com.
When I announced the December release of Shadowfever (which has been moved to December 7th) I told you that we had a lot of cool stuff planned this year. I wanted to give you a quick peek at one of those things.
Last year, the uber-talented Mia showed me a few tarot cards inspired by the Fever series that she was working on for a wallpaper. When I saw the designs, I was blown away by the beauty of her art, the lushness of the images and the emotions that they evoked. Her Fever-inspired drawings inspired me.
I asked Mia if, instead of doing a wallpaper would she design an entire deck because I needed it for something. She rose to the challenge and created a tarot deck that exceeded all my hopes and expectations. She's been uncannily prescient, as if she and I were trolling the collective unconsciousness in tandem, selecting the same artistic tools, themes and motifs. It's been an exhilarating collaboration, the end result is stunning.
We wil be producing the tarot card deck. I'm not yet certain how we're going to make them available but we will be giving some away. Aren't they gorgeous?
(No, she doesn't know any Shadowfever spoilers, LOL!)
(Hate to have to add this, but after the last debacle, these cards are copyrighted to KMM, LLC, and are the sole and original creation of M. Suarez Amin)
