Icestorms and kittens...

So we left Cincinnati for Georgia to escape the ice and snow. As you can see, that worked out real well. Above is my back yard yesterday.

In the midst of the storm, we got a special delivery, on iced kitten paws. I think they read my newsletter yesterday, saw the Wolf Run post and got the addresses mixed up, LOL.

I have a dilemna: I have the Goddess Empress, she-who-permits-no-others :) and I can't keep them. They are an extraordinary family of three toms. I think it's a dad and his two kittens. What's so extraordinary about them is how much a family they are. The dads dotes on and adores his kittens! He brought them to our back door, politely waited until we finally offered food, nudged his babies to it, waited until they ate, then walked over to me and licked and thanked me, and finally ate himself. He sees to them first, constantly. He's smart, well-behaved, well-groomed and gorgeous. The pictures don't do any of them justice.

We kept them inside last night because it was so cold. All three of them bedded down in our laundry area, used the litter box, ate and slept good and warm for the first time in who knows how long.

I'm two hours from Atlanta. I'll get them their shots, I'll get them spayed. They need a home, and they need to stay together. If you see the three of them interacting, you'll understand why. The dad licks, cuddles and grooms them like no male I've ever seen. He's been protecting them and keeping them alive for some time. I think the kittens are between 3-4 months. They're fluffy and beautiful. They were obviously house-cats that got turned out for some reason.

Can anyone offer these aristocats a home? Please email me at karen@karenmoning.com.
