Welcome!

Bloodfever is finally on sale, and I’m thrilled to have the new site, www.sidhe-seersinc.com up and running. It’s a companion site to www.karenmoning.com, but devoted solely to the Fever series. Mac’s world needs room to grow. The site is a work in progress, with more on the way. We’ve got some great stuff up already, and even more exciting things to come.

For those of you who are new to my books: the Fever series is comprised of five novels to be read in the following order: Darkfever, Bloodfever, Faefever, Dreamfever and Shadowfever. The first three are complete. The final two are being completed. The last page of Shadowfever is written.

For those of you who know me from my Highlander series, be warned: the Fever series is different. The five books are connected, which means each novel achieves a denouement, but the overall arc of the series won’t conclude until Shadowfever. If it did, there’d be nothing else to write about. Additionally, the books of the Fever series are not romance novels. There’s romance in them, there’s sex, there’s love, but they were never intended to be single-title romance novels, so stop expecting it. If that’s what you want, read my Highlander books.

But…if you want all the great mythology that forms the background of my Highlander series, amped up, fleshed out, told by a sidhe-seer as she struggles to learn what she is and how to survive, caught between a death-by-sex Fae and an enigmatic bookstore owner that even the immortal Fae seem to fear, read on. If you want to delve deep into the Seelie and Unseelie realms, if you want to know what really happens behind all the happy Keltar stuff, come on in. If you want to walk on the dark side with my creative muse, check the series out. Otherwise, go away. I’m tired of being told Darkfever’s not a romance. I know it’s not. I wrote it.

If you’ve made it past that caveat, welcome, and I’m so glad you’re here! Take a look around, check in at the Wall and let me know you stopped by, explore Mac’s Dublin, crank up and enjoy the kick-ass theme song for the Fever series, and stop back regularly because we’ve got something coming up in the next month that seriously rocks.

When you’re done, drop by my message board at my other site, take a look at all the Fever theories, and let us know yours.

I’m blessed to have such wonderful readers, so many smart, funny, creative women (and men) hanging out, making awesome fan art, showing me you’re paying attention, and keeping me on my toes.

A thousand welcomes!

Karen

Oh cool! You have a blog too!

LOL I had to laugh at this:

"I’m tired of being told Darkfever’s not a romance. I know it’s not. I wrote it."

Fever's different, but different in a good way. I admit, even though I had my doubt at first, (especially since I don't like a story being told in the first person) I'm glad I checked it out anyway.

It's a bit sad how some of the fans feel alienated & can't appreciate a good story, great characters & wonderful writing because it's not what they're used to.

Oh well, everyone's entitled to their own opinion.

A lot of us are proud of how you took a chance & went with your gut, Karen! The Fever series so far, really show how much heart you put into it. We're loving the Fever world!

It's my favorite work from you so far. The rest of us on the forum are anxiously awaiting the release of Faefever =P

Ah! I love it, it's so cool. I still think the Fever series should become a movie though, especially now that we have some sort of visual. :) A girl can hope.

I just wanted to say that I'm addicted to your books...from the first one from the Highlander series I bought for 50¢ at the thrift shop to the Bloodfever I read sitting in the bookstore (because I don't buy it until it's paperback). I've read every book of yours I own at least ten times and they never get old....and that's a trick. You were an instant favorite and your work only gets better. I usually don't like first person narrative, but I read the Fever Series as if I'm Mac, and when I'm done I'm ready to go out and kick some Fae ass! I can't wait for the rest of the series...have pity and don't wait too long between releases.

Hi Karen! This site is more than I could have ever hoped for....I LOVE it! I have felt in the past year that I am a part of Mac's world, and now it is all coming to fruition! I could care less that this series is not a romance, I will forever read anything that you have created. I'm so excited I can't stand it! A thousand thanks could never be enough, Karen. Thank You!

A friend brought me DF, then she brought me the whole Highlander series, and impatiently waited for BF - now I'm totally hooked on all of them! wonderful job kmm! my husband gets jealous of all the books, but he loves reaping the rewards after some of the scenes! keep up the good work and keep them coming faster and faster if possible, but not too fast - rather have to wait for an awesome book than get sloppy work fast!

The books are great. The site(s) are great. What more can I say??

Enjoying the different angle on this new series - glad to have the romance out despite having the Highlander series always w/in close reach. Found the 2nd book in the new series to be, in the end, frustrating - more questions rather than answers to the questions from the first book. However, it was, as always, a great read that I could not put down. Anticipation... waiting for the third book... crossing my fingers that it will be out in the summer. Thanks for being so dedicated/creative.

I love this new new site! Gives us something to do while we whimper in longing for the rest of the fever books. Since they are almost complete any chance of taking pity on us and giving us release dates?
I love this new series and good for you telling people to stuff it if they don't like the typical romance genre. I reread all the highliander books while waiting for the new fever books-it gives me a good mix of romance and edgy story.

Hi Karen,

You and Maria V. Snyder (of Poison Study fame) are tops on my women-who-write-about-women-who-
kick-ass-and-take-names list.

If Leah ever decides to run off with a knight in shining armor to have other adventures I'll be first in line with my resume! ;-)

To be honest I was reluctant to read the fever series due to the fact that there were 5 in the series and that the whole plot is so enigmatic.

I gave in and read Darkfever and now Bloodfever and I am hooked in a bad way.

Darn you Karen for being such an uberly awesome writer!

Seriously you are one of the best out there.

:)

Hi Karen,

I love this new site! I just got acquainted with your books this past summer and I must say that I was instantly hooked with the first book which was actualy the "Highlander's Touch" and just had to read from the top of your list. I read the entire "Highlander Series" in about a week! Yup a KMM maniac was born and now I'm loving Mac's adventure with Jerico (whom I have a feeling I guessed his real identity but will wait 'till Shadowfever's concluded, wouldn't want to miss the adventures ahead!).

Please keep 'em coming since you seem to have insatiable thrill-seeking adventurers who wants to join in on Mac's quest for the Sinsar Dubh.

OH and Karen...a story no matter how it's written or told will still have the kickass impact to it's readers when one storyteller or writer is as exceptionally extraordinare such as you. So you're challenging yourself in writing in the first person...who said Mac's the only one that can have fun?

You go GIRL!!!

Karen, I discovered your Fever books in audio form on audible and LOVED them! I listened to all 3 in a one week period- every time I was in my car, at work, at home. They are amazing and your voice is incredible. I look forward to the 4th one!
